Plattform Wiederaufbau Ukraine

Stand-Up-Comedy-Show am 12. Oktober 2026 „Humor vs. Fakes“ – ukrainische Jugendliche treten gegen Desinformation an

„Humor vs. Fakes“ – Ukrainian youth tackle disinformation

Russia’s war is hitting not only streets and buildings, but also the information spaces in which Ukrainian young people move: disinformation, fake news and digital manipulation shape their everyday lives. Reconstruction therefore also means equipping young people with tools to navigate this flood of information and to develop a confident, independent voice. Why a comedy project can be a meaningful approach here is explained by historian Dr. Kateryna Yeremieieva in the following interview (Externer Link).

With „Humor vs. Fakes,“ our joint project with DW Akademie and in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany, we will bring Ukrainian youth together in Berlin in September and October 2026. In various workshops and masterclasses, they will dive into memes, unmask fake news, unpack TikTok trends, and – working with Ukrainian comedy stars Svitlana Nemonezhina and Maksym Albul – develop their own stand-up material.

On 12 October 2026, the young participants and the two comedians will present their program to an audience for the first time at Cosmic Comedy Club in Berlin. The show will be in Ukrainian with simultaneous interpretation into German. We look forward to seeing you there.
